41. Sleepbox Hotel | Capsule Hotels
Location: Moscow, Russia
Architects: Arch Group
These portable sleeping capsules were originally developed as temporary resting places for weary travelers. However, the Russian architecture studio has now converted an old building into a functioning hotel with these mobile capsules.
42. Nonze Hostel
Location: Pattaya, Thailand
Through timber and brick fixtures, interwoven with yellow accents, Nonze’s faux-industrial interior is a modern revision on traditional beachfront accommodation.
43. Capsule Pod Boutique Hotel
Location: Chinatown, Singapore
In comparison to the hotel’s attention-seeking, arcaded façade, exuding a self-assured charm, the interior spaces integrate the capsules as cozy and warm hideaways.
44. M Boutique Hostel
Location: Bali, Indonesia
|Architects: DLUX Interior
Unlike many of its capsule hotel counterparts, which seek an openness, M Boutique instead utilises much darker tones, softened only through the light timber. This thereby creates a more enclosed intimacy.
45. Pengheng Space Capsules Hotel
Location: Guangdong Province, China
As the name suggests, this hotel is dedicated to the ‘space-age’ experience: sleek lines, shiny surfaces, pods designed as if to hold test subjects, and robots- of course.
46. TuboHotel
Location: Tepoztlán, Mexico
Architects: T3arc
Although the inspiration for these cement pipes is visibly grounded in Das Park Hotel, the planning of these capsules was determined by the wooded topography. Furthermore, the tubes are fitted with glass doors, thereby reinforcing this unity between built form and nature.
47. Floating Hotel Pod
Location: Japan
Guests at the Floating Hotel Pod can lazily float across the sea, drift to sleep under the stars to the gentle rocking, and wake up at Huis Ten Bosch, a Dutch-themed amusement park. Although undoubtedly a confusing experience for many, perhaps strangely enticing for the unconventional traveler.
48. Galaxy Pods
Location: Chinatown, Singapore
Conveniently located in Chinatown, for those wanting a fun hotel experience.
49. Capsule Hotel
Location: Hague, Netherlands
Owner: Denis Oudendijk
These original oil-rig ‘survival pods’ have been repurposed as floating, and land-based, hotel accommodations.
50. Koyasan Guesthouse

This contemporary guest house shares design principles with traditional Japanese architecture, particularly through its light construction that does not focus on hierarchy, but rather, on a human scale.
