Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazí, meaning spiral rock arches. Hazdistazí is narrower than its counterpart, and getting through it requires dealing with several flights of stairs.
To maximize the experience, a recommended visit is between late March and early October, when the sun is at its peak. Sunny weather provides the best conditions for the site’s famous light beams, which appear when the sun’s rays illuminate isolated areas of the canyon, creating a celestial gigantic spotlight.
