The project respects the historical imprint of this heritage complex while giving it a contemporary touch. At the turn of the 2000s, the former high school at the end of the 19th century had become a media library and a training center. With this second renovation and the addition of a theater, it becomes a real cultural center.

To accommodate the 220-seat theater which has been installed on the 2nd floor of the former administrative building of the school, the roof and the floor of the 3rd floor were deposited.

The parallelepipedal volume of the room seems to have slipped into the old masonry thus opened, obscuring the windows of the last 2 levels and leaving the hanger protruding 4 m.

The cladding that envelops it is the support of an original work created by the artist Alain Clément. The dancing drawing of the artist signals with great joy the requalification underway from the heart of town.

On the media library side, the spaces have been redesigned to improve comfort thermics, bringing in natural light and enlarging certain spaces.
