Founded by Interior designer Subhangi Vaidyanathan, Furnicheer was shaped by extensive involvement in the vast field of creative design over the past three decades, spanning residences, corporate offices, and healthcare facilities.
Furnicheer is a brand built with care, one that focuses on understanding each stage of crafting pieces that resonate with its users. It blends Indian design with the needs of the present while playing with texture, colour, form, and craftsmanship.
Furniture as a Living Connection
Furnicheer, a fine blend of traditional and modern, creates a one-of-a-kind concept: a colour-inspired furniture range. Following a detailed process, similar to that of designing spaces, Furnicheer initially takes in the client’s requirements and customer narratives, and considers previously used locally sourced sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo) and mango wood. (Team, 2022)
Working with these types came with challenges, such as a consistent lack of seasoning quality and resistance to insect attack. Currently, American Tulip wood is the go-to for Furnicheer products. As a durable hardwood, it offers natural pest resistance while also allowing bright and vibrant stains to adorn it. Each tint is achieved through extensive research, using non-toxic stains and food-grade PU. An interesting aspect of the designs is that they are fully collapsible, enabling portability across different locations. (Writer, 2020)
Having introduced a model towards furniture designing, Subhangi brought her idea to life in 2010, using imported technology in her 10,000 sq. ft manufacturing unit in Navi Mumbai. Her designs reflect Indian Handicrafts. Having a strong-willed team at her side ensures a steady flow of concepts and insights.

- Bedroom and study furniture – ranging from bedside tables, upholstered beds, study tables, dressers, mirrors, etc.
- Dining and Kitchen Furniture– ranging from dining sets, chairs, benches, customizable seating, and accessories such as coasters, chopping boards, platters, etc.
