The day she started seeing buildings, she saw the world differently, realizing there is no going back to a mundane person. Sees the building, notices the color and texture, and becomes a critic. It is a way of becoming an observer. She was glad to pick it before entering the real world of architecture. The expression of a perspective eye develops eventually.

Let’s walk to an old street in a city like Bangalore, looking at different homes, possibly a tree or two, people sitting in verandahs, children playing cricket, vehicles parked on the road, and noisy streets with complete interaction, might as well see the authenticity of homes’ different functionality under the same area, the privacy yet achieved, with all that has been given, and maintenance of socialization.

The spatial arrangements of an area play a vital role in day-to-day life. In the first semester in architecture, she had to study a particular place on the function, movement of people, space allocation, and perspectives on how the building interacted with itself and the people. People respond as per our surroundings, which was her first learning of architecture. “Form follows Function” was the motto, also black being mainstream. Can a kitchen work as a bedroom? If the client requires it, it can be functional post-designing, followed by the form.

Episode 2, Year 2.

Design has its purpose_Oscar Uriel.

Let’s get into the skeleton of creation. It was about design and the details of working with the real world. All the atoms are put together in one molecule. Starting with the architectural design core subject, supported by varying aspects of creation. The ancient history of planning, the toughness in structure, and withstanding building constructions all had their role to be a success in the process. People connect with a place it touches down from a movement to every material going into it. All that just so the relation between the humans gets closer to their own needs with architecture.

Episode 3, Year 3.

The real understanding of the technicalities, the need to speak the language of architecture at this moment, the words start from mechanical drawings, the plumbing fixtures, the load-bearing columns, depth of a beam, climatology, micro-macro level analysis, and with every touch of detail to be covered by the same design. How can you brighten up or dim down the switch in your living room according to your mood? Why do you think it was there in the first place? All that is being designed has its purpose.

Episode 4, Year 4.

No more excuses for “I don’t know” was only on getting to work on it with tangible and intangible specters. The psychological mind had to be on for the creative side of the brain and the technical aspect for the other side. Humans travel to visit new places or the ones they tend to have more interest in, go out now and then, or relax in their favorite place at home doing nothing; all of these have been set in a picture and what architecture made them feel.

Episode 5, Year 5.

The year you catch up upon all your downsides, need to work on your life, pick your topic, everything is in your control, everything is your responsibility, it teaches more than architecture. Architecture is not just an experience through the vision of sight but an expression that is felt inside oneself.

Step in there. Now is the time to work on all that has been learned, speaking to real people and their requirements, which is always an exciting and difficult segment. The brains on all sides must work together to make a client understand what is right and what is functional for the project. We need the satisfaction of the clients who are spending a lot of time in the space and the self-satisfaction of giving others the best, so all that every architect is trying to achieve in the world.

Understanding the language of Architecture_https://www.ignant.com/submissions/i-found-my-silence-by-eiko-ojala/

The culture is balancing the Architecture of the place, translating its form and rhythm into the lifestyle of the human being. Architecture impacts humans physically and mentally, which any non-Architect person would agree upon. Agreeing to disagree on Architecture is only drawings. All of this could only be achieved by the surrounding and the creators. It could be in a sophisticated or non-sophisticated manner of lifestyle. The chance to speak more to the walls and windows in silence sure will comfort us.

Any architectural work that does not express serenity is an error“- Luis Barragan.
