Naomi Campbell is a model who has paved the way for others in the non-flexible field of modeling. With over 30 years in the business, it’s no surprise that she’s graced the covers of over 500 prestigious publications, many of which would not have hired a black model at the time. According to numerous online sources, her net worth is believed to be $80 million, and she is well-known for her charitable contributions. She has been in a variety of productions, including TV shows, series, films, and music videos, in addition to modeling. The international British model’s line of work necessitates her frequent movement, from one fashion show to the next, from a movie shoot to a talk show. A sturdy structure secluded from the city’s distractions, a place to reconnect with nature once again. In this light, she is the proud owner of three highly publicized houses that somehow reflect her personality.
The Malindi Villa, a Kenyan retreat
The luxurious sanctuary has a view of the Indian Ocean and is roofed, yet provides the user the impression of being outside. The spreading structure gives a sense of openness and tranquility. The villa has four stunning pools; a saltwater pool that extends outdoors from the center of the living room; vaulted ceilings in the living areas; voile-curtained pergolas scattered all through the property; a majestic looking Makuti thatched roof; authentic and locally made African furniture; a spa treatment facility; a poolside pavilion; and a private beachfront overlooking the Indian Ocean are just a few of the residence’s highlights. The structure isolates its users from the distractions of the outer world. The British star’s hideaway is the ideal place to unplug, with palm trees as a backdrop, no phones, and no television. The structures consist of wood, concrete, thatch, tiles, and plaster. A succession of palm trees and bougainvillea line the perimeter of the property.
The structure’s architectural style is remarkably similar to that of the neighborhood. It distinguishes itself by architectural influences from numerous locations on the African continent where the international model has traveled. Overly ornate plaster frames are seen throughout the retreat; they remind us of Mediterranean architecture. Most wooden items bear intricate patterns that communicate a narrative through hand-carved workmanship, such as doors, decorative lintels, and skirting. Most of the structure is adorned by a spectacular makuti roof. Wooden beams support the roof structure, while a series of concrete columns support the entire building.
Due to the obvious makuti’s high roof pitch ratio, an attic-like space can be seen beneath the roof, which functions as a sitting area or a reading nook away from the structure’s intense natural illumination. Authentic African artwork, sculptures, and other decorative fittings are sprinkled over the spaces. Twin voile-curtained pergolas provide the ideal setting for family dining. The open-ended and breezy theme is suitable for passive design system characteristics.
The Capital Hill Residence
The building is 2650 square meters in size and is located in Moscow, Russia. It was created by Zaha Hadid Architects between 2016 and 2018 and has a spaceship-like appearance. Within the Barvikha forest near Moscow, the mansion is surrounded by 20-meter-high birch and pine trees. The building was implemented in accordance with the existing topographic conditions on the site, as well as the client’s brief. Despite being practically in the forest, the owner wanted to wake up to only see the blue sky, so Zaha Hadid’s team had to lift some parts of the property above the woods. The structure is made up of two interconnected modules, one of which follows the slope of the site and the other of which is elevated above the vegetation level.
The two 65-foot-tall towers of the Capital Hill Residence are utilized to access the elevated module via stairwells or elevators. The structure’s number of bedrooms and living spaces is unknown, but it does have a gym, a spa, and a swimming pool, among other amenities. The furniture in the house was purposefully designed to complement the organic nature of the structure.
The Eye-of-Horus-Eco-House
It’s no coincidence that the name of this project was not chosen at random, as it is located on Cleopatra Island in Turkey’s Gulf of Gökova. Luis de Garrido, a Spanish architect who specializes in ecological building, was granted the job. As an outcome, the ultimate result is an off-grid eco-house that is self-sufficient in energy, food, and water. The structure has no less than 25 bedrooms and five lounges. The dark contour of the eye is made up of solar panels, which provide all of the home’s energy demands when combined with a geothermal system. Rainwater is collected, and waste water is treated by an on-site biological system.
The main part of the structure, which is a three-story, has five reception rooms and an interior garden. It is modeled like the pupil of the eye and is glass-covered with a dome-shape. A cutting-edge geothermal system would pump the heated water through hot volcanic rock, and the sewage would be treated on-site.
Finally, because she is unpredictable, ecologically sensitive, and her notion of a vacation retreat has always been shown to be a spot that is diametrically opposed to her bustling everyday life, these spectacular mansions are the ideal match for her personality. It’s safe to say Naomi’s ideal vacation house is a serene environment with luscious greenery, pure air, organic food, good company, all away from city pollution and noise.
