This house emerges in the arid Cerrado landscape like a silent flower. Just 15 minutes from Brasília, it is a refuge rooted in tranquility and a deep connection with nature. Set on a 2000 m² plot, its 375 m² are spread across four detached volumes, arranged on a grid of square modules and rotated around an open central courtyard—the home’s axis of connection and breath.

Each volume frames unique views of the landscape and serves distinct functions: garage and service areas; TV room, office, and master suite; two bedrooms, a studio, and a guest bathroom; and finally, the living, dining, and kitchen spaces, which open entirely to the veranda through sliding doors.

Built with accessible and durable materials, the house combines metal beams and concrete pillars. The earth-toned exterior walls blend with the sky, while the white interior walls highlight artworks and furniture. Cement flooring extends throughout, with gray granite in wet areas. A marine plywood ceiling continues into the cabinetry, housing the residents’ books and memories.

Sustainable and efficient, solar panels heat water and the pool year-round. The interiors, designed in collaboration with Casulo, balance playfulness and comfort with pieces by Samuel Lamas and icons of national and international design. In Mariana Siqueira’s landscaping, the Cerrado comes alive with native trees and grasses, extending the home beyond its walls. At the heart of the courtyard, a replanted ipê tree anchors the space—a quiet tribute to nature’s enduring presence.
