Embarking on the creation of a lavish 5-bedroom residence in Jaipur for Narayan Ji Khanwani, Design Square Architects faced the challenge of incorporating luxurious amenities like a home theater, terrace garden, bar, jacuzzi, and spa within the constraints of a compact 311 square yards. Despite this limitation, the design team, led by Ar. Amit Goswamy and Ar. Ruby Goswamy, demonstrated exceptional creativity and determination to seamlessly integrate opulence and ample space.

The facade, adorned with intricately designed jali work, serves the triple purpose of shading against the intense Western sun, ensuring privacy, and paying homage to traditional Rajasthani architecture. Inside, a sensory journey unfolds, featuring landscaped courtyards, a multi-level waterfall, and opulent carvings. The living and dining spaces, cleverly demarcated by wooden pillars and gold mirrors, exhibit a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements.
Strategic design choices, such as the use of mirrors and pastel hues, create an illusion of expansiveness in the limited space. The vibrant color palette, including baby pink, red, and green, seamlessly integrates into the design, while traditional and contemporary furniture elements coexist elegantly.
Material selections, such as Italian flooring in common areas and wooden flooring in bedrooms, contribute to the overall comfort and aesthetic. The lobby on the first floor, adorned with veneer and golden mirror designs, leads to the son’s and daughter’s quarters, each uniquely designed to reflect their personalities.
The second level hosts the elder son’s sophisticated quarters and the son’s stylish bedroom, both featuring private terraces. The highlight of the project lies in the efficient use of space, providing separate terraces for each floor and ensuring smooth connectivity from the ground to the second floor.
In conclusion, Narayan Ji Khanwani’s Residence stands as a testament to creative vision, meticulous planning, and skillful execution, transcending physical boundaries to become an embodiment of elegance and grace.
