The house unfolds gradually, revealed through a measured ascent of steps and the interplay of light and shadow across curved surfaces. In a fast-developing neighbourhood of northern Bengaluru, it avoids spectacle and instead settles into its context with quiet confidence.

Designed for a family deeply connected to the landscapes of Coorg, the home carries forward an atmosphere rather than a literal memory. The calm of the hills is translated into softness of form, filtered daylight, and spaces that open gently over time. Skylights above the dining area and staircase draw the sky inward, allowing sunlight to travel through the heart of the house and subtly mark the rhythm of the day.

A sweeping curve defines the façade, wrapping the two levels in a continuous gesture that is both structural and expressive. This fluid edge frames fragments of garden and sky, turning openings into moments of pause. The dining space, positioned centrally, becomes a layered threshold of glass, planting, and a perforated screen that echoes the exterior form. Here, boundaries blur, and daily rituals unfold in a setting that feels open yet intimate.

Across its two floors, the residence accommodates three bedrooms with thoughtful privacy. One bedroom engages directly with the curved façade, framing the garden through its arc. Upstairs, alongside the remaining bedrooms, a serene puja space holds a suspended brass thook bolcha, offering a quiet anchor to tradition and continuity.

The terrace extends the experience outward and upward, where a compact bar and patch of lawn create an informal retreat under open skies.

With a restrained palette of micro cement, metal accents, glass, and integrated greenery, the house relies on proportion, texture, and light rather than ornament. House of Curves ultimately reflects a balance between memory and modern living, offering a grounded yet fluid home within the evolving fabric of Bengaluru.
