It is necessary to build seating spaces for people to rest. It is difficult for older people to walk longer distances and hence, seating spaces are required around the city. The seaters must be comfortable and of durable quality that lasts for a longer time.
Walkability
The city must be walkable. It must help people commute easily by foot. Vehicle free zones, shaded pathways, good signages and greenery are a good way to promote people to walk.
Bicycle friendly
A city must promote environmentally friendly means of transport and must have separate lanes for commuting. Separate parking and renting spaces must be provided for bicycles. Separate lanes must also be designed to avoid accidents and traffic.
Systematic parking
Organised parking spots within the streets are crucial. These parking spaces help people to easily get to various places when it gets far to walk. Systematic parking avoids cumbersome and blocking the streets.
Bollard
Bollards help in creating alignment on footpaths. It gives a sense of direction to people to walk in a straight pattern. Bollards also have light installed that help pedestrians walk at night.

With heavy traffic on roads, it is important to build bridges that help people cross roads. This helps them reach from one side of road to the other without risking their lives.
Subways
In places where bridges are not possible, subways are useful in commuting. But subways must be well lit. Subways should be safe and clean.

Conservancy spaces can become interaction zones rather than just being negative spaces. They can be used for kids to play. Seating spaces, community to engage, planting small shrubs can also enhance the street.

Public spaces and footpaths must have ramps for people to access them easily. Ramps are very crucial in every public space for differently abled citizens, older citizens to enter the building easily without external help.
