Graphic Design is all around us!

Words and pictures are also known as the building blocks of graphic design which also are the unique elements that make up our content into the concept. Graphic design has not only has become more visible and preferably important in our lives but also as a professional practice that has become more important in our culture.

Graphic design is really a vast field, it can take many forms. You can be a graphic designer and make books or logos or design web interfaces, t-shirts, chocolate boxes, or political posters. But what all of these specialized areas of graphic design have in common is that the design is getting used to represent a product, or a thought, or a message, and convey that to an audience. Design is a way of communicating something to some other person through visual means.

Graphic design can break down into its basic components, image, type, shape, and color. There are many different types of graphic design courses, where some are very technical; some are very formal. Some have a practice derived by research or concept and a few are driven purely by style or aesthetics, others by the will to experiment. But all of them are controlled by communication through text and image. Sometimes designers just use images, illustrations, and sometimes they just use text, typography. But most designers use a combination of the two tied together by the use of color and composition. These are the building blocks you need to master, to be able to eventually build something more complex and refined. And they’re going to be relevant to pretty much every specialized area of graphic design.
