Daniel Freytag & Greig Anderson
A designer/photographer and a creative director came up with a company called Freytag Anderson. After travelling all over the world through mutual connections and similar design aesthetics they came together in Glasgow and established their own design studio. Freytag Anderson is now an international brand identity agency helping companies stand out amidst the ever growing world of marketing.
Daniel Freytag is a perpetual visualist who came from the small town of Bühlertal, Germany. Over the course of his career, he had the opportunity to travel to multiple places such as Dubai, New York, Sydney, Seoul, and London. Taking some inspiration from everything and anything he finally settled in Scotland. More than just being the creative director and co-founder of the firm Freytag Andersons, he is also a designer and creative enthusiast taking over various new projects such as curating Editions of 100 (an online print store by a global community of designers), or setting up a children’s app business with his wife (junoberry.com)
As for Grieg Anderson, he has been working for 11 years as a professional brand designer with multiple brands globally which led to him being the co-founder of this design company. Starting from working with multidisciplinary brands and agencies in Glasgow and Sydney, Anderson gained the skills he needed to start his very own business. More than just the company, Grieg also widens his knowledge of design by portraying them through words. He writes for a leading blog called FormFiftyFive and also spreads his ideas through social media platforms.
The Brand’s Work
The company works on curating designs through organic ideology. Understanding a brand’s requirements and needs in its entirety and coming up with unique content with a touch of personality is what they aim for. The numerous accolades lined up by the company name are evidence of their talent. Works like Up Front Brewing that got the company the Best Packaging SDA 2019 Award as well as the Chairman’s Award SDA 2019. Fraher Architects
Started in 2009 in a small town, Fraher Architects was the dream project of Joe and Lizzie. Established for almost 15 years the company strives to create high-end projects for residential and commercial complexes. In 2018 Joe and Lizzie Fraher partnered with Findlay Construction and became Fraher and Findlay. The firm redesigns, refurbishes and re-evaluates design in a way like none other and provides the best solution for its clients. Based in London the company has numerous well-known award-winning projects spread throughout the city. The firm aims to create a positive change at whatever opportunity that shows up before it. Indifferent from traditional methods they work with modern cutting-edge technology providing contemporary results. Fraher and Findlay is a firm led by architects working with top-notch innovative methods. The company’s main clientele lies within the business owner sector.
Joe and Lizzie Fraher
Joe Fraher the co-founder and managing director of Fraher Architects is an environmentalist and master architect who oversees the craftsmanship and quality of their products. Lizzie Fraher, the other co-founder of the company overlooks the team’s studio work. She has been working on sensitive buildings for over 20 years which leads her to work on every project with absolute care and consideration. Both of their skills and ideas come together to provide their customers with sustainable and creative results that outshine any other.
The Brand’s work
Since the majority of their projects are refurbishments of older buildings the company works on the techniques of PassivHaus. This methodology aims to create sustainable buildings following energy-efficient standards that lead the structure to maintain a constant temperature within itself. The company runs on the principle of evolution- constantly learning from their previous projects, analysing them, and working to create better. The constant urge to learn, adapt, and grow is what led to the company’s success and bringing it the awards it so deserved. From the New London Architecture Awards for their ‘ Non Boxy Lofty’ and the New London Architecture Awards for their ‘ Tsubo House’ and ‘Ghost Houses’ the company has many accolades to their name. The brand’s work can be described as bespoke, dynamic, and innovative providing the users with sustainable, responsive end products.
Freytag Anderson’s Work For Fraher Architects
Freytag Anderson created the logo for Fraher Architects and helped them build their identity visually. They tried to understand the company’s motives, and their work and gave them a logo that depicts the flexibility and dynamism of the company all while keeping it very minimal, which is the brand identity of Freytag Anderson. The logo is the plain view of the letter F but the marque’s shapes and lines have been modified to give the logo its eclecticism. This project helps to truly understand the functioning of both brands at large.
