In front of the farmhouse, a massive parking lot seals the end-to-end experience with towering walls and a tucked-away entrance giving a glimpse into Baag-e-Fursat. As soon as one enters, one is struck by the monumental imposing setup that is both acrophobic and entirely breathtaking.
Traditionally, visitors are welcomed by a tree-high statue of Lord Buddha in the midst of pruned bushes that echo the nature-loving language. Walkways are left untouched by the picturesque lawn ambience, while trellised seating islands, metallic sculptures, and birdhouses run quietly along the edges.
A spacious lounge and dining area overlook the infinity pool and cascading sides of the first of four cottages dedicated to recreation. During the day, a sunken bar by the pool gleams with turquoise water and is transformed when lit by the moon at night. In the basement, an indoor gaming area with pool tables, carrom tables, and table tennis zones, all surrounded by symbols like chequered walls, pawn patterns, and card collages make this an interesting space for everyone.
Villa cottages further illustrate the concept of wonders in the wild, with garden nodes arranged in an off-grid layout allowing ample sunlight and ventilation. With minimal furniture, geometric lights, lightwood hints, and an overarching neutral palette, both upper and lower storeys boast a contemporary interior style. The rooms in this style maintain the farmhouse concept by accommodating beds that open to east-facing views, along with the verandas that share the same.
Overall, Baag-e-Fursat satisfies one’s senses through the lavish play of contemporary architecture and a subtle throwback to vintage styles. Modern elements such as expandable rooms, semi-enclosed gazebos, makeshift party lawns and more provide opportunities for people to interact, while vintage elements such as a windmill, antiquated fans, trussed roofs, handmade luminaires, woven matters, and more bring back the nostalgia.
There is nothing but an excitement for a time away from the humdrum life that brings families to Baag-e-Fursat, a peaceful haven for families from different times and places.
