For example, Robert Hull’s Bullitt Center in Seattle, U.S.A., is a net-zero energy building that generates all of its electrical power through a 14,000-square-foot rooftop solar array.

Finally, the sustainable design also changes how buildings interact with their surrounding environments. The Javits Center in New York City recently installed a 6.75-acre green roof, making it one of the most expansive green roofs in the United States.
