Alfredo James Pacino is considered one of the most influential actors of the 20th century and has received numerous accolades including an Academy Award, two Tony Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards (Triple Crown of Acting). Born on April 25, 1940, to Italian-American parents in the East Harlem neighbourhood of Upper Manhattan, New York City. During his time at The Actors Studio, Pacino discovered how much he enjoyed acting and that he had a natural talent for it. He has starred in some incredible films and because of The Godfather trilogy and Scarface has gained notoriety as a mafia movie hero. While some celebrities choose to make their homes in distant areas, others live in modest residences, Al Pacino preferred to elaborate his real estate portfolio by buying (and renting) extravagant houses in several cities surrounded by popular neighbours. Let’s take a closer look.

01 His primary house in New York | Al Pacino House

Al Pacino was born and raised in New York and has owned a sizable amount of real estate there. Palisades, New York, seems to be Pacino’s principal house on the East Coast. This property is spread out over 3 magnificently exclusive acres. The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and its total living area is 4,290 square feet. Pacino bought this property (built in 1971) in 1979 for $375,000 and throughout the years of his ownership, significant improvements and repairs have taken place.

In 2013, Pacino earned $3.3 million through the sale of a piece of his estate, which included his Palisades guesthouse. The prestigious guesthouse was constructed in 1941 and is situated on a hill with views of the close-by Hudson River. The two-story house is cosy and rustic, with a curving staircase, wood flooring, and a large open-concept dining and living space. Several swoon-worthy features of this home, including a common room fireplace, French doors, and a veranda that views out onto the first-floor terrace.

Until selling it in 2010, Mr Pacino reportedly owned another home in the Palisades area. The 1,578 square foot, 3-bedroom, 1-bath home on the gated lot quickly sold for $580,000.

02 House in Beverly Hills (Former)

Al Pacino had a property in the upscale metropolis of Los Angeles like every other Hollywood celebrity. Jackie Collins, a deceased romance author, was the landlord of his Beverly Hills property. Collins let Pacino rent the expensive house from her for more than a decade before selling it and the property next door for a combined $30 million. Pacino’s rental property, one of the two residences that made up the Beverly Hills Collins estate, sold for $9 million in a private transaction in 2016.

Unbelievably, Pacino’s mansion had a lesser living area than the other houses—5,259 square feet—and only had six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The 1922 construction of the two-story house included a pool in the backyard.

03 Midtown Condo (Former)

Al Pacino owns a substantial amount of property in New York. Between 1988 and 2013, the actor lived in several Central Park South condominiums, including a 14-floor corner unit 2010 to 2013. On the 14th floor of an opulent 56-story Midtown skyscraper, Pacino’s previous two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is located in a neighbourhood that is sometimes referred to as “Billionaire’s Row” by many. The condo looks pretty minimalistic as compared to the hefty price paid but living in the city comes with the notion of accepting a “less is more” way of life. The other amenities that the residents of the Central Park Place tower are privy to are our – exclusive access to the indoor pool, sauna, fitness club, sundeck, and lounge with catering kitchen of the building. 2018 saw its $2.595 million sale.

04 Al Pacino ‘Scarface’ House | Al Pacino House

On the internet, there appears to be some contradicting information about a rumoured Hollywood Hills house owned by Al Pacino. Numerous publications claimed that Pacino had an enormous estate in the Los Angeles region valued at $34 million, however, upon further investigation, it has come to light that the alleged residence is the fabled “Miami” mansion from the film Scarface. The 1906 Mediterranean-style house was offered for $34 million in 2014, but it only sold for $12.3 million after spending 17 months on the market. The infamous home undoubtedly sold for far less than the asking amount, but in our opinion, it remains a gem.

In the centre of Montecito, the California celebrity hotspot where Oprah Winfrey, George Lucas, and Brad Pitt have all lived, is the Mediterranean Revival-style villa known as El Fureidis, which was built in 1906. The two-story house has an unmistakably striking facade of smooth stucco with prominent columns and large, symmetrical windows.

The home had to radiate luxury and elegance since the narrative of fictitious drug lord Tony Montana, played by Al Pacino and based on real-life criminal Al Capone, was recounted there. Even though the movie was set in Miami, El Fureidis was the ideal location and served as the backdrop for some of the most memorable sequences, including (spoiler) the killing of Montana.

The imposing staircase with wrought-iron handrails, the lofty ceiling, the smooth plastered walls, and the exquisite stone floor complete the entry hall which is nothing like the gaudy decor seen in the movie. The property’s several formal living rooms, which are ideal for entertaining or unwinding, flow into the entrance hall. The magnificent blue-panelled ceiling in this exquisite living room is thought to symbolise the skies and the estate’s neoclassical beginnings. Beautiful roof windows and French door walls flood in lots of natural light. Along with the Neoclassical, European and even Middle Eastern origins of many features some parts have been renovated to modern taste like the chefs’ kitchen.

Many rooms on the ground floor open to a secluded courtyard, which purges at the very centre of the house, lined with palm trees and relaxing settings.

The second level of the house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms inside and it looks out over the water gardens outside. The master bedroom has two closets and an incredibly opulent bathroom.

The distinct layout and style of the house are evident in this aerial photograph. Here, the gorgeous internal courtyard can be viewed in all its splendour, and you can see how the tiered gardens mimic the building’s rectangular design. According to the ad, the estate’s grounds span more than 10 acres and have a wonderful variety of specimen trees, exuding grandeur and a romantic sense of time and place.

Additionally, there are rumours about an Al Pacino residence in Fort Lauderdale, although there is no proof he ever had property there. You guessed it—the places where Scarface was filmed in the region are largely to blame for the misconception.
