About the Institute | IPS Academy Indore
SOA, IPS Academy is one of the 16 colleges at the IPS Academy. The institute is a 58-acre lush green campus. The academy has over 76 courses, 10,000+ students, and around 500 teachers. The President Ar. Achal Choudhary is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, and has visionary leadership qualities that get reflected in his sincere and dedicated work ethic. Courses Provided by School of Architecture
School of Architecture (SOA), IPS Academy provides recent high-school graduates with an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) which is a five-year course to acquire a Bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate degree in Master of Architecture (M. Arch) which is a 2-year duration Master’s course. These courses are taught by highly professional faculties, with most of them already having a Master’s in Architecture and practising efficiently.
Along with lectures, there are studios, site visits, material visits, and seminars for acquiring professional excellence.
Academic Excellence and Competitions | IPS Academy Indore
School of Architecture, IPS Academy has been participating in NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture) for many years now. Architecture students’ works in rendering, drafting, designing, planning, 3D modelling, and presentation have been acknowledged triumphantly at this National level competition. Students from SOA, IPS Academy, Indore have exhibited their skills in trophies such as Industrial Reubens, ANDC, Photography, Fashion, Dance, GRIHA, HUDCO, Laurie Baker, Panel Discussion, and many more.
PACE 2k18 – National Seminar
PACE 2k18, a national seminar organized by SOA, IPS Academy, covered a wide scale of topics such as Parametricism, Urbanism, Urban Regeneration, Climate Responsive Architecture, Deconstruction in Architecture, Regionalism, etc. It sure was a truly inspiring and inculcating session. It was a great opportunity for all the young graduates to communicate their ideas and gain more clarity in the profession.
International Conference RSPG 2k19
The international conference was organized by Vigyaan Bharati, Nagar Nigam, and SOA, IPS Academy, Indore. There were interactive seminars and discussions on various architectural domains such as Urban Development, Sustainability, Development of Multi-transitory Systems, etc. Architects from all around the world attended these technical sessions and were highly impressed by the work done by SOA, IPS team.
Events
SOA, IPS Academy is not just one of the excellent colleges in Architecture in Indore (M.P.), India. It also is a symbol of integrity, nobility, and unity. These foundational and crucial qualities are persistently conveyed through the various events that focus particularly on student and faculty interaction. These events are organized for students throughout the year.
M.A.D. Week
The Music, Art, and Dance (M.A.D.) week is a welcoming event organized by the faculty and seniors to welcome first-year juniors and make them comfortable with an architecture student’s life. This fun and interactive 7-day event is a perfect platform that showcases each mind’s creative abilities exhibited through competitions and challenges. The last day of this event is undoubtedly a DJ night because college memories are incomplete without it.
Mud Party
Mud Party is held every year in the SOA, IPS Academy’s Campus during the great Janmashtami Festival since Lord Krishna, also known as ‘The Matki Phod,’ excitedly indulged in these types of activities. Boys and girls in different groups compete with teams, and the first one to break the pitcher wins. This event is extremely fun because not just Architecture students but also students belonging to different departments take active participation. There’s music, people dancing, refreshments plus a very entertaining activity, what else do you need?
Extracurricular Activities | IPS Academy Indore
Along with the best educational facilities, students from SOA, IPS Academy can regularly participate in different sports since the academy provides courts for lawn tennis, basketball, and large grounds for football, cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, a swimming pool, and a shooting range. There are also yoga rooms, skating rinks, chess room, judo hall, gymnastic hall, and especially horse-riding arenas. Students have won medals at the state as well as national level. The sports faculty constantly encourages and consistently works towards refining the student’s capabilities.
School of Architecture, IPS Academy is an institution worth studying at. From excellent services to outstanding faculties, SOA truly thinks in terms of achieving brilliance. It is not just the ambience but also the leadership qualities that are perfectly exhibited by the faculty and students. School of Architecture, IPS Academy has recently completed its twenty-six years, and this achievement adds another star to its reputation.
