The main challenge in converting this contemporary Cape Dutch style family home was to introduce Scandinavian and contemporary modern lines, and successfully marry them to the existing structure.

Our aim with this project was to maximise light ingress into the residence and optimise height, on what was previously an oppressively low first floor ceiling height, by exposing the truss structure.

Additionally, changes in the plan focused on creating natural flow of spaces in the public areas and celebrating individuality through personal style in the private apartment-like spaces.
