The house had to serve as a holiday home for a family with children and their guests, with all kinds of comfort so that its owners could find peace and rest. That is why it includes a terrace, a garden with a pool, a garage and a guest house.

The interior layout of the house is simple, with a central access to the hall connected to a patio, and stairs that give access to the second floor. A longitudinal axis along the façade communicates the spaces aligned in parallel. The common spaces with the living room and kitchen are located on the ground floor. The second floor features the bedrooms, including the master suite and several children’s bedrooms with a common living area. The entire interior enjoys abundant natural light that penetrates through large windows and the central patio, occupied by a magnificent olive tree.

The interior is designed as a contemporary and warm environment. Using a clean formal language without stridency, the true protagonists are the noble materials rich in textures, which provide a calm sophistication and luxury: continuous cement flooring, grayish sandstone walls, wall paneling and smoked wood interior carpentry and furniture, sober and elegant. The accents are subtly introduced through the assembly of the materials, the transitions between them, the golden brass details and the sumptuousness of the upholstery and carpets,

The spaces flow continuously, favoring visual connection, communication and social gatherings. Wide hidden sliding doors between the different spaces are designed to be able to separate them when needed. The arrangement of furniture also favors fluidity and connection. For example, the living room, with its different seating areas, is an open space facing both the fireplace, the terrace, and an adjoining dining room.

To complete this image of visual calmness and order, the equipment and technical systems are conveniently integrated and hidden in custom-made furniture, false ceilings and cladding.

In this house, luxury is the pure space and the calmed richness of its materials, to enhance the connection between people and with nature.
