The Residence of the Stones was designed for a host family. The challenge was to create a house which strengthens the family roots. Conceptually, the house has three big stone walls, made of local stones.

The contrast between rustic and modern, mixing stones with metal structures.
It was designed with a living room, dining room and kitchen integrated, two bedrooms and one suite, besides the mezzanine and the inviting front porch.
Sustainability is also a strong point, like water recycling, cross-ventilation, and other passive strategies.
Cuboverde Brief
Cuboverde arquitetura sustentável is a small architecture firm focused on sustainability of buildings. We work mainly in the segment of residential and commercial architecture. The company has regional coverage and is composed of three partners. We started in 2011 in the Capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and presently act in their many cities. Cuboverde is present in the State of Santa Catarina too.
Cuboverde has already won three architecture awards. One Regional Award and two Nationals Awards. The Regional Award was called Sinduscon and recognized The Partec Green, a Sustainable Comercial Building in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul. The booth national awards were called Saint Gobain. In the 5ª Award Edition it was recognized The Studio House and in the 6ª Saint Gobain Edition it was recognized Microbreweries Weber.
