The design includes a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living and a connection to the shores of the Arabian Gulf. The inside of the house provides a private office and entertainment spaces for the owner with break out and music spaces for the younger family members. LW Design played with volumes and materials to ensure an intriguing yet classic design. Designers established a sense of curiosity whilst creating a refined and elegant home.

Residents enter the house through an exquisitely detailed layered stone screened façade. The double-storey entrance foyer leads to the formal living area that enjoys views over Palm Jumeirah and the Gulf beyond. The ground floor accommodation provides free-flowing space with subtle divisions for family functionality.

The layered architectural stone façades and elegant bronze louvres provide a sense of privacy from the street, whilst the beachside glazing and terraces exploit interior and alfresco beachside living. The formal living and family areas comprise a lounge, dining and expansive kitchen with clever interlink moveable floor-to-ceiling timber walls. The expansive pool terrace is conceived as an extension of the living areas and is accessed via full-height glazed sliding panels. A rooftop gym, wellness areas and a pool enjoy panoramic views from the second level. A key feature is the rooftop swimming pool. Although it was technically challenging, the results speak for themselves.

The careful selection of materials reinforces the seamless nature of the house with cool white travertine floors, white oak timber, and white walls that accommodate the family’s extensive artwork collections. Designers selected many high-end pieces, such as Minotti suites and custom marble dining tables. The kitchens are Bulthaup with Miele appliances. The house is fitted with an extremely high standard of home automation accessed through the family’s smartphones.
