The central design theme is modern luxury with a soft, muted golden hue that runs consistently throughout the home. This choice reflects understated elegance while adding warmth and cohesion. Golden accents appear in everything from the textured walls to the handles on cabinetry and profiles on furniture, providing continuity and sophistication. Planning began with a careful layout analysis, keeping the client’s preferences and the home’s unique structural elements in mind. An on-site survey helped understand the flow of space and sunlight, which played a role in the design choices. The location’s natural light and external surroundings informed the decision to create an airy, open space that blends with the outside.

The living area is extended up to the balcony; opening up the entire layout and making it feel more expansive. This reconfiguration enabled the optimization of the structural column by blending it into the design in a subtle, understated way, letting the space breathe while enhancing the overall aesthetic. The theme is evident in the material choices — textured golden walls, soft beige upholstery, and light fixtures with subtle metallic finishes that cast a warm glow. The custom deconstructed sofa with integrated side tables features subtle golden accents.

Extending the kitchen and living areas into the utility space and balcony respectively was part of the design approach to open up the home and make it feel larger and brighter, connecting indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly. The surrounding space inspired the use of natural tones and warm hues, hence the choice of a golden colour palette that reflects light beautifully. This subtle, opulent scheme not only enhances the indoor ambiance but also mirrors the outdoor serenity, creating a sense of harmony and balance.

The kitchen needed to cater to the lady’s passion for baking, with a well-equipped, air-conditioned setup and an island for her culinary activities. The storage solutions were, hence, integrated subtly within the kitchen to maintain an organized yet accessible feel. To fulfil this design vision, the kitchen was extended into the utility area, creating a large, functional space. This expansion allowed the incorporation of a seamless storage setup, tucking essential utilities neatly out of sight. An island is created to provide ample counter space, while including bench seating in the dining area doubles up as a cosy work-from-home space, reflecting both utility and versatility.

The master bedroom continues this luxurious palette with veneered panels and a travertine-inspired bed-back, complemented by a functional glass-shutter wardrobe that enhances the room’s ambiance while maintaining the golden undertone. A Vastu-compliant locker was also thoughtfully integrated into the side table in the southwest corner, seamlessly blending function with style. The glass-shutter wardrobe adds a modern touch, maintaining the cohesive golden undertone.

This seamless colour palette provides continuity across spaces, from the guest room’s sea-green silk-inspired wallpaper to the playful tones in the kids’ room. The guest room features soft sea-green hues and a silk-inspired wallpaper, with a wooden fluted bed-back that enhances the cosy, inviting ambiance. Functionality was key here, so a luggage area that blends with the room’s aesthetic was included in the design narrative.
