They wanted a home that not only reflected their personalities but also allowed for the free movement of their young child and beloved dog. From day one, our vision for their home was clear: an open, interconnected space where every corner was accessible, and no area was off-limits.

The Living Room: A Symphony of Connectivity

In the living room, we wanted to capture the essence of free flow and connectivity. Textured walls with flowing lines symbolize the seamless movement throughout the house. Every area is interconnected, embodying the freedom of human movement and the spirit of semi-open spaces. The terracotta color brings a divine energy to the room, inspired by our clients’ positive and grounded nature.

A long bench in the living room is a nod to their old house in Orissa, where family members would gather on the veranda to chat and feel at home. One of the most significant choices we made was to forgo a TV unit, creating a harmonious space where no furniture points to a single focal area, promoting conversation and connection.

The Heart of the Home: The Kitchen

The kitchen features a beautiful corner window that opens up into a large balcony, making the space airy and bright. The platform doubles as a breakfast counter, perfect for casual family meals. Terracotta tiles in the kitchen match the overall terracotta texture of the house, binding the entire space together in a cohesive design.

The kid’s bedroom is designed with ample space for play, featuring a sturdy yet child-friendly bunk bed. It’s a space where imagination can run wild and where the child can grow and explore safely.

A Home That Breathes Freedom

Overall, this house is a representation of freedom—free-flowing minds and positive energy embodied in a space that feels alive. Our clients’ home is not just a place to live but a testament to their vibrant personalities and their love for life. It’s a space where their child and dog can move freely, where every room is filled with light and air, and where every detail reflects their unique character and joy
