Jorn Oberg Utzon, a Danish architect, is renowned for designing the Sydney Opera House in Australia, which was declared a World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007, making Utzon the second person to have received such recognition for one of his works during his lifetime, after Oscar Niemeyer.
Other remarkable works of his include the Bagsværd Church in Denmark and the National Assembly Building in Kuwait. Indulging himself into housing designs, he also made several important contributions, especially with his Kingo Houses near Helsingør.
