The palace on the main pedestrian street in Slovenija’s capital has been
under patronage of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of
Slovenia and the renovation took place under their close eye and
supervision.

Slovenian architectural office TRIIIJE led the full restoration of the
historic building and designed all the elements of the museum in very
distinctive color palette that blends the historic references with museum
identity.

In the museum we can peer into the background of bank counters in Vienna
Secession Style from the beginning of the 20th century, the time of
socialism and the present day. It features bank heritage from 1820 until
today.

We can enter a recently-retired bank vault, see safe deposit boxes and the
workings of an ATM, and travel into the virtual reality world of banking’s
digital transformation.
