September has designed the newest Tacofino location located on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver BC, transforming the sub street-level space into a refreshing casual dining experience.

The concept for the location was developed around a base of utilitarian and natural materials that make reference to the local environment and economy. Painted slatted cedar 2×4’s wrap around the banquette and water station as well as above the service counter.
Exposed conduit and keyless lamp fixtures are laid out to lightly trace the shape of a wave barrelling over the room making a subtle nod to the owner’s hometown and the restaurants roots in Tofino.
References to water and natural forms appear in the wall menu, ovoid mirrors, custom beach stone tabletops, and artwork.
