“Designed and Made in India”
Sabyasachi throughout his career always searched to design with principles and sought to sketch the future of Indian Fashion and the traditional techniques; while applying the “buy less but by better” philosophy to the quality of his brand; believing that longevity is seasonless and should be passed from one generation to the next.

His patience in building his career was admired, and he always put his country and traditions first. He believed that success was a matter of time, it included not only creativity and the clothes itself but also a mix of geopolitics, economics, and the society itself. Like many who delve into the creative field, he had to overcome challenges and failures, but it was never an issue.
Bringing India back to India was his first main goal, using the undiluted couture and craft back to the Indian wedding and fashion design spot. His bridal aesthetic was rooted in the traditional and heritage style inside the Indian culture, mixed with tips of bohemian contemporaries.
This was how Sabyasachi started the Sabya Bride style, using artisanal crafts and handwoven textiles back to luxury. His designs usually use a mix of fabrics, textures, and vibrant colours to create a unique style. The entire process has been transformative while reviving traditional Indian crafts and integrating them into the modern fashion style. Additionally, it is important to mention the great impact his work provided, influencing a new generation of designers to value and incorporate the traditions and heritage into their designs.
Building Living Museums
The detailed attention also transpassed to the retail stores, transforming the selling process into art, as mentioned the stores move the client into museum experiences, bringing the needed attention to the designed pieces.

The stores are immersive spaces where times stand still as his signature cultural heritage while designing his fashion pieces. The brand signature takes over all 4 senses, creating a great impact on your vision, smells, textures, and sounds. For the smell, the client is impacted by the notes of rose, sandalwood, and frankincense wafting through each store, while getting involved with the sound of Rabindra Sangeet and Madonna to the old Bollywood classics and Édith Piaf. Everything is well selected by Sabyasachi, the tea offered from the finest independent tea states of India is served with small-batch fruitcakes and ginger biscuits offered by local artisanal bakeries.
The textures and materials create a mix of comfort and luxury providing the needed attention to the clothes, the space is lighted by an exquisite gleaming hand-cut chandelier, and most of the decorations and fixtures are artisanal and handcrafted pieces, an important detail that Sabyasachi never leaves behind.
Sabyasachi’s philosophy of “buy less but buy better” expands to every part of the retail process, always emphasising quality over quantity, his designs are meant to last, to impact and encourage clients to invest in timeless pieces that can be used through generations. All of this, by backing local craftsmen, guaranteeing fair pay, and upholding traditional artistry.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s rise from a regular middle-class kid to an international fashion legend showcases his skill, determination, principles, and appreciation for his roots.
