The Travlounge, developed for Beacon Group, stands as a distinctive architectural
achievement—a space designed to be an oasis amidst the chaos of travel. Beacon Group
approached us with a bold vision: to create a sanctuary where weary travellers could escape
the mundane and embark on a sensory journey, while balancing luxury, affordability, and
hygiene.

Our challenge was to translate this poetic concept into a tangible architectural reality, a space that seamlessly blends aesthetics and function while resonating deeply with the emotions and experiences of modern travellers.
The core identity of Travlounge was encapsulated in the metaphor of a bird, symbolising the unyielding urge to travel. This concept became the foundation of our design. The graceful curvature of a bird’s wings informed the primary architectural elements, and as we refined the concept, we reimagined the wings as if caught in mid-flight—embodying the spirit of freedom, ambition, and the dynamic energy of contemporary travellers.
The architectural form transitions from a serene bird perched on a sturdy trunk to a final
structure that evokes both a sense of calm and a dynamic, stimulating experience. The
signature feature, a two-sided cantilevered wing, presents an ambitious structural design challenge, which our team was able to overcome through innovative engineering solutions
that maintain visual purity while ensuring stability.
Travlounge’s interiors further build on this vision, offering travelers a curated sensory
experience: ambient sunlight floods every corner, and the thoughtful interplay of light,
materiality, and ergonomic design provides a tranquil yet luxurious environment. Key spaces like the Bean Wagon Café and Fillomart Mini Mart are integrated into the architectural language, elevating these functional spaces into immersive experiences.
At the heart of this project lies a deliberate balance between architectural beauty and functional excellence—a testament to how design can shape experiences and create moments of calm even in the midst of travel’s demands.
