The work of an architect is not restricted to “real” commissions. It also includes experimental designs, utopian visions of projects directed just by his/her own creative will, without any restrictions – except for the law of gravity, the logic of materials, and the basic needs for human inhabitation -. This project belongs to this category.
Project Name: Tower In Puerto Saavedra, Chile
Studio Name: Juan Almarza Anwandter
Location: Chile

The client is the architect himself. A tower, facing the ocean, in a remote coast (perhaps Puerto Saavedra, Chile).

Inspired by watch towers and lighthouses, it contains the bare minimum facilities for a single inhabitant, devoted to creative work (architecture, music, painting), writing, and contemplation.
