Bnei Brak or Bene Brak in Israel was established as a rural town by eight Polish Hasidic families who had come to Palestine as a feature of the Fourth Aliyah. It was established around 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) from the site of Biblical Beneberak. Bnei Brak was initially a moshava, and the essential monetary action led to the development of organic citrus products. The town was set up as a strict settlement from the beginning, as is evident from this depiction of the trailblazers: “Their spirits were resurrected by the way that they justified what their ancestors had not”.
