Created for those who value freedom without giving up comfort, this Modular Tiny House was designed by Gabriela Casagrande’s architecture studio for the construction company Nomaden. With just 18 square meters, the project reflects a contemporary lifestyle — light, emotionally connected to the essential — combining technological sophistication, practicality, and signature design in a compact, versatile, and timeless proposal. It is the result of the studio’s ongoing research into new housing typologies and the concept of sensory design.

The project embodies a new way of living — more functional and sustainable — expressing the desire for a simpler life, closer to nature, and filled with greater meaning. Compact, yet with a generous soul, the tiny house offers a smart housing solution that prioritizes comfort in a small footprint and presents a replicable model for different contexts. The layout maximizes an integrated floor plan composed of a living room, kitchen, and bedroom in a single open space, plus an enclosed bathroom.

The sense of spaciousness is enhanced by generous openings that allow abundant natural light and provide cross ventilation. The artificial lighting was designed to create a cozy atmosphere and highlight textures, while the custom furniture designed by the studio reinforces the aesthetic identity of the space. The project includes smart functionality, modularity, customization options, and unit mobility. Even in a compact space, automation allows control of lighting, sound, and climate, using intuitive and sophisticated equipment.

The project incorporates various sustainability-driven solutions aligned with practical, everyday applications. These include the use of renewable materials such as bamboo and certified wood, reduced built area, natural ventilation, and energy efficiency. Its modular production and scalable potential further reinforce the commitment to more conscious construction methods that adapt to evolving housing needs.
The landscaping, developed by the studio’s own team, contributes to the integration between house and nature, proposing a harmonious reading of the terrain and the building volume, enhancing the openings and strengthening the indoor-outdoor connection.

In tune with the CASACOR theme “Sowing Dreams,” the project symbolizes the pursuit of a simpler, more accessible life connected to what truly matters. The Tiny House represents a new way of inhabiting — one that plants real possibilities for a future where well-being, sustainability, and simplicity go hand in hand.
