The intervention involves the renovation and expansion of the existing rustic building to create a single-family home on two living levels (ground floor and first floor) and a basement used as a storage area and boiler room.
Project Name: CHALET SOFT PEAK
Studio Name: Alex Romano Architect

The orientation of the project is designed to optimize solar radiation and ensure excellent
natural lighting in all living areas.
The ground floor is designated for the sleeping area, while the first floor houses the living
area. Both are oriented to take full advantage of daylight: the bedrooms on the east side
benefit from the early morning sun, while the living area on the south/west side ensures light throughout the day. Service areas and vertical circulation (such as staircases) are located on the north side, which receives less sunlight. These areas also serve as a thermal buffer for the living and sleeping rooms, providing protection and insulation from winter temperatures and the nearby road.

Vehicle access is from the municipal road on the west side, bordering plot no. 104, which
leads to two outdoor parking spaces. Pedestrian access is possible both from the parking
area and from the outdoor terrace on the west side, which is accessible directly from the
municipal road at the level of the first floor. From the first floor, an internal staircase leads to the ground floor, while external stairs allow access to the basement.
Basement Level: Includes a technical room / cellar.
Ground Floor: Sleeping area with shower bathroom, hallway with wardrobe, storage
room, a master bedroom with walk-in closet, a double bedroom, and internal stairs
leading to the first floor.
From the double bedroom and the hallway, there is access to two outdoor terraces on
the east and west sides, respectively.
First Floor: Living area with shower bathroom, hallway with wardrobe, kitchen, dining
room, living room, internal stairs to the ground floor, and two terraces facing east and
west with direct access from the living area.

Regarding the outdoor spaces, the two terraces on the east and west sides of the ground
floor provide access to the surrounding green area.
