The home’s exterior is a showcase of modern architecture, with a façade animated by variously shaped openings that immediately draw the eye. Sona Reddy describes it as “a monolithic structure thoughtfully layered with breeze block fenestrations on its southern and western fronts, lending the building a crafted gravitas.” These porous segments not only elevate the aesthetic but also enhance climate adaptability, allowing the structure to “breathe” with its environment. As sunlight filters through these openings, the interplay of light and shadow transforms the interiors, imbuing the spaces with character throughout the day.

A sprawling, verdant lawn surrounds the home, shaded by lush trees and seamlessly blending outdoor and indoor areas. This green space provides both a welcoming approach to the home and a serene gathering area, creating a smooth transition from urban bustle to serene living. The landscape design enhances the home’s natural connection, complementing the architectural flow with a calm and integrated environment.

Inside, the interiors contrast with the Brutalist exterior by weaving in elements of traditional vernacular design with a modern edge. Neutral tones across architectural elements form a canvas for an art collection that brings warmth and sophistication to the decor. This layered approach mixes traditional and contemporary styles, creating an aesthetic that feels both rich and timeless. The basement features grand arches that provide glimpses of a polished pool, beautifully matched by coffered ceilings. Natural light fills the space through carefully placed openings, creating a cozy, artful atmosphere.

On the upper floors, fenestrations continue to play a pivotal role, casting patterns of light that bring dimension and intrigue to the interiors. Each level offers distinct views of the outdoor landscape and is infused with natural light, heightening the dynamic feel of the space. The staircases add to this atmosphere, each unique in design. In the entrance hall, a sculptural floating railing makes an artistic statement, while another staircase showcases a large, three-dimensional form that cleverly conceals structural elements against a backdrop of cement and sleek wood veneer.

Natural materials like cane and wood, accented with touches of blush and ochre, contribute warmth and depth. The fluid connection between spaces, coupled with carefully placed openings, creates a cohesive, luxurious ambiance grounded in comfort. Each material and hue is thoughtfully selected to evoke elegance and livability.

Sona Reddy Studio’s thoughtful integration of nature with architecture results in a residence that is as visually stunning as it is welcoming. By blending indoor and outdoor elements, utilizing natural light, and layering traditional with contemporary design, this Jubilee Hills home encapsulates the studio’s dedication to inspiring, beautifully crafted spaces that resonate with comfort and sophistication.
