Strategically placed Buddha statues at the entrance and intricate fresco paintings on the ceilings are designed to evoke a connection with Buddhist culture. These frescoes instantly transport residents and visitors, drawing a parallel to the experience of ancient cave dwellers.

A long drop-off canopy with cutouts allows sunlight to filter through the space, creating a natural atmosphere.
The caves themselves tell stories, a narrative carried into the lobbies where the tale of Buddha is etched into the walls. Natural stones are used for wall cladding and flooring, maintaining a consistent design language throughout the project.

The podium-level flooring and landscape area feature stamped concrete to replicate the texture and feel of a cave floor.

Aroha is designed to create a microenvironment for its inhabitants, blending cave architectural elements with modern design to foster awareness and curiosity about the rich heritage in the surrounding area.
