The Brick Cube is a recently finished 125 sqm Residential project where ‘architect himanshu’ was involved in Architecture & Interior design for the complete residence. It is located at NH-24 (Delhi-Meerut Expressway) Ghaziabad. Requirements of the client were simple, they wanted a home which can host frequent parties to host family and friends.

The planning focused on creating more interactive spaces for inhabitants while keeping each space unique in its own way. Variation of heights of the spaces and playing with colors and lighting help achieving the same

Drawing room is placed at ground floor , which is a double height space and gives an impactful and grand welcome to the guests. other then drawing room, two equally large space are provided for common activities.

One family lounge at mid level to the first floor which act as a connection of Bedrooms at first floor to the common living in ground floor. another common area , which is also the most spacious one lies on second floor, which is planned to host large parties. the party area also connects to the terrace which makes it even more functional for its need.

The Façade is a play of Brick, Concrete, paint and planters. This use of Timeless material keeps the building humble while giving it an opportunity to be unique.

The front wall with the large double height window is built using Rat-Trap bond. the cavities in the masonry act as thermal insulators. thus, the interiors tend to remain cooler in summer and warmer in winter. this would help fight the harsh climatic condition of the region.

The feature Brick wall on front façade is made from wire -cut brick. put using Flemish Bond method of masonry walls. Headers are pushed forward to create the desired triangular pattern. the masonry walls are finished with silicon coating to protect it from rain and seepage.
