Pawan’s residence is a north facing plot, on a site of 30’ x 50’, the 3 BHK duplex has a built up of 2500sq.ft. While the exterior is a simple play of forms keeping it white throughout, the concrete texture painted deck space that has been cantilevered on the second floor is an eye catching entity in the elevation.

The ground floor contains a 2 bedroom residential rental unit with accommodation for two car parks. The upper floors comprise the living room and three bedrooms. The stark white finish complements the green surroundings. Wide windows, balconies and terrace ensures connectivity to the outdoors. The dark grey tiles run in contrast to the monochrome walls. The lighting fixtures, artifacts, furnitures are carefully chosen to match the interior theme of the house.

The first floor comprises of the living space, two bedrooms with two toilets, a spacious kitchen unit attached with a utility space. A single stringer wooden staircase running parallel to a unique railing pattern that runs in continuity on the first and second floor above a small water body with the backdrop of lush green landscape area. The family area on the second floor has a customized book storage unit following the rules of minimalism and going with the theme of the house.

The master bedroom opens out to the terrace garden. It also has a strip of skylight, serving as a reading corner during the day. The deck space is used as a study area and the terrace garden has a simple seating feature allowing the family to relax after a long day. Skylights are strategically placed, one above the god’s unit directly illuminating on the idol; another in the bathrooms hence naturally lighting the spaces; a big skylight above the staircase throwing in abundant amount of light into the main areas of the house.
