Eternal 360 marks a continued dialogue of trust between the homeowners and SMA, one that deepens with each collaboration. Set high above the city of Mumbai, at Oberoi Three Sixty West in Worli, this apartment in the sky was conceived with remarkable creative freedom.

The brief was deliberately minimal: no loud colours, an unmistakable SMA sensibility, and a home that functions as a private retreat, luxurious yet deeply personal. From these open-ended cues emerged a residence that privileges calm over excess and refinement over spectacle.
With the constraints loosened, the design process became an exploration of how classical ideals of beauty could be reinterpreted through contemporary craftsmanship and modern methods. The resulting concept, aptly titled Eternal Elements, pays homage to enduring design principles, symmetry, natural stone, and classical architectural language, while reengineering them for present-day living. The home unfolds as a protected, almost meditative world, offering refuge from the intensity of the city below.

Planned as a multigenerational modern home, the layout is organised along a South-West to South-East axis to optimise light, views, and spatial hierarchy. The living area anchors the plan, branching either towards the media room and master suite at the southern end, or towards the formal dining space, family lounge, and three additional bedrooms along the South-East corner. The kitchen and utility areas remain discreetly tucked away, accessed through a functional passage. With the exception of the media room and dining area, each space opens out onto a personalised deck, reinforcing a strong connection to the skyline beyond.

A defining feature across the home is the use of engineered symmetry. Robust, timeless materials, particularly premium marble, are elevated through precision and balance. Natural veining is carefully mirrored and ordered, transforming raw stone into monumental surfaces that express quiet strength without violating the monochromatic brief. This controlled symmetry becomes both a visual anchor and a philosophical thread running through the residence.

The formal dining area is conceived as an immersive experience rather than a mere functional space. Here, a 10-seater marble dining table by Baxter takes centre stage, paired with melange and cream-toned chairs that soften the composition. Monochromatic wall art evokes the illusion of being drawn into an ancient, architectural vortex, while a fluid, glittering light installation by Rhea Mehta introduces a layer of contemporary warmth. A credenza wrapped in a customised print of classical architecture completes the tableau, blurring the lines between art, history, and daily ritual.

In contrast, the media room offers a cocooned, indulgent environment for leisure and entertainment. Equipped with a 120-inch screen, an Optima projector, Paredine speakers, and a Pioneer sound system, the space delivers a cinematic experience that is both immersive and intimate. Fibre-optic ‘starlights’ embedded within the stepped, paneled ceiling heighten the sense of drama. At its heart sits a 13-foot-wide marble-clad bar counter, where the language of engineered symmetry is once again expressed with sculptural clarity.
The powder room continues the narrative of timelessness through mood and material. Dominated by veined black natural stone, the space exudes a deep, fluid elegance. A striking cobalt blue chandelier by Abhishek Chabaria punctuates the darkness with jewel-like brilliance, while sculptural Kohler fittings add a refined layer of luxury. True to SMA’s design ethos, the powder room becomes a visual crescendo, an intimate yet unforgettable moment within Eternal 360.

This home reinterprets eternal design principles through engineered symmetry and refined materiality, offering a calm yet powerful retreat where luxury is expressed through balance, craft, and quiet strength.
