The idea was to showcase the transformative power of design—the art of discerning what to integrate, how much to embrace, preserving a sense of familiarity, and seamlessly weaving in fresh elements to invigorate familiar spaces.
Within, the home reveals itself as a sanctuary where tranquility permeates every element. A textured wall, embellished with raw wood and a tall planter, establishes a warm ambiance
for the spaces ahead. The palette employed here, a fusion of earthy tones and luxurious
textures, surrounds you, beckoning exploration with each step.
As you step further into the main living area, the transition is smooth yet striking. Here,
geometric proportions define the design, evident in a snug sofa accented with boucle fabric
and wooden legs. An elliptical center table, dressed in jute-textured fabric and adorned with elemental decor, serves as the focal point, resting gracefully on a plush rug that mirrors the surrounding colour palette. The living room easily blends with the adjacent lounge area through a gorgeous glass partition, offering continuity while maintaining privacy.
As daylight filters through the west-facing windows, casting a gentle glow upon the
interiors, a tiny cozy corner beckons, offering solace and respite. Here, amidst the play of
light and shadow, one discovers the essence of a home within a home—a place for
contemplation, introspection, and renewal.
Moving into the dining area, an in-situ bench crafted from logs of wood and stonelam
beckons, inviting a communion with nature. Paired with a table featuring metal-coated legs and chairs with wooden counterparts, the ensemble exudes a rustic charm that harmonizes with the surrounding palette. Here, conversations flow freely, nourished by both delicious meals and scenic vistas.
Transitioning from the dining area, enter the bedroom where serenity prevails. Neutral tones and soft textures converge, crafting a sanctuary of repose. Framed wardrobe doors, with concealed handles, echo the design language of the entrance, while a subtle splash of olive green infuses vibrancy into the earthy ambiance. Here, within this tranquil haven, lies access to the terrace—a distinguished feature of the residence.
The terrace, a secret enclave accessible only to the intrepid, reveals itself as a haven of
tranquility, leisure, resourcefulness, and versatility. Partially covered and adorned with solar panels, it alters with time, offering solace from the warmth of the sun while harnessing its energy. Carefully placed foliage sways in harmony with the sun path, creating pockets of shade and serenity. A designated spot for barbecues invites conviviality and shared experiences, while a serene corner encourages quiet reflection and communion with the plantations around.
Thoughtfully designed spaces each offer a unique narrative—a tale of growth, organicity,
and subtle distinctiveness, making this home a unique design narrative! All in all, it
beautifully demonstrates the potential of design to transcend boundaries and emphasizes
the importance of cultivating a deeper connection with the simplicity and soulful aspects of the resident.
