Amidst the fast-paced rhythm of Coimbatore’s urban sprawl and the distant hum of aircraft overhead, Haus of Curves rises as a serene and sophisticated sanctuary. Designed as a peaceful retreat, the project reflects a thoughtful renovation that honours the existing structure while infusing it with a spirit of refinement and quiet luxury.

From the outset, the design intent was clear: minimal intervention, maximum impact. With only modest architectural modifications, the home embraces functionality and fluidity across its layout. The entrance opens into a calming foyer, where a bespoke console rests against a custom elliptical panel—doubling as an elegant partition to the dining space that unfolds at the rear.
In the formal living area, custom-crafted furniture becomes a testament to traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design sensibilities. A statement chandelier layered on the ceiling enhances the room’s subtle grandeur. The adjacent dining area is bathed in daylight, thanks to circular punctures and glass bricks embedded in a soaring double-height wall. As the sun moves, these elements orchestrate a gentle play of golden hues across the interiors.

This dining zone extends to a serene deck that offers picturesque views of the lush garden and quiet street beyond. Just beside it, the kitchen is anchored by a suspended counter—both functional and sculptural—serving as a seamless transition to the utility area, cleverly concealed with sliding panels to maintain visual order.
Every room on the ground floor opens into a dramatic double-height atrium, crowned by a skylight that floods the core with natural light. A gracefully curved handrail, sculptural in presence, spirals upward—its form illuminated like a ribbon in motion. Beneath the skylight lies the home’s social heart: a central seating area designed to accommodate large gatherings of family and friends. Its visibility from every level reinforces its role as a communal anchor.

Directly across, the pooja room stands as a spiritual centerpiece. Its imposing stone-panelled entrance and handcrafted sandwiched glass doors lead to an inner sanctum capped by a 50 kg hand-painted dome. The artwork depicts Akshayapatra, symbolizing infinite joy, divine grace, and prosperity—an emblem of abundance at the home’s core.
The master bedrooms echo a theme of calm minimalism. One features an ottoman seater, while another integrates a smart, space-efficient work zone—blending function with finesse. A neutral, restrained palette flows consistently through the interiors, conveying elegance without excess. A notable exception is the study area, where a dash of vibrancy enlivens the otherwise serene scheme.

Ascending to the first floor via the sculptural staircase, one finds a secondary master suite, a charming daughter’s bedroom, a private balcony, and an intimate home theatre. The upper-level walkway, lined with a photo wall bathed in sunlight, invites quiet reflection through framed memories. The master bedroom here is crowned by a tall, sinuous headboard, while the daughter’s room delights with a playful, petal-inspired design.
Completing the experience is the home theatre, where a stretched ceiling with a marble-like finish adds a sense of cinematic drama. Designed as an immersive retreat, the space reflects the home’s balance between elegance and comfort.

Throughout Haus of Curves, elegance unfolds through every deliberate curve and subtle detail. The home is not just a response to its urban setting—it is a poetic counterpoint. A place where light, space, and form come together in quiet harmony, creating a refined and soulful retreat amidst the buzz of city life.
