Firsov Studio undertook an investment project involving apartments in Moscow City located in the prestigious OKO Tower. The studio was initially tasked by a regular client to select and prepare a suitable property for resale. After an in-depth analysis of available options in 2022, we chose a 185 sq.m. apartment in the OKO Tower. Despite having completed renovations, the interior did not complement the space and atmosphere. We embarked on a complete re-imagination of the interior to highlight a unique style and sense of comfort.
Project Name: Oko Tower Moscow City
Studio Name: Firsov Interior Design Studio

The OKO Tower’s inviting, residential atmosphere and promise to safeguard the magnificent view from the 63rd floor were among the reasons we were drawn to this project. To tailor the interior, we envisioned a potential buyer: a globe-trotting male entrepreneur in his 40s in need of cozy yet spacious living quarters near the city’s business infrastructure. With this in mind, we opted for a modern American classic style, known for its warmth and intricacy that suits large spaces.

The project paid special attention to material combinations by juxtaposing “cold” textures such as marble and metal with warm wool textile wallpaper from England, which accentuated the hallway, bedroom, and study areas.

To infuse an ambiance of “quiet luxury,” the design team selected decor items from the iconic American brand, Ralph Lauren. Upholding the upcycling trend, we refurbished original decor pieces, such as candlesticks, lamps, mirrors, and photo frames, to combine both new and historical elements within the interior.

One striking example is an original Ralph Lauren chair found on the market. While the frame was in excellent condition, it required new fabric, which we sourced from Italy. The remodel breathed new life into this piece, making it a standout feature in the space.
EICHHOLTZ, a Dutch brand, provided the perfect cabinet furniture that complements the American classic theme. Various techniques were employed to evoke a sense of “richness through the ages,” such as crafting the kitchen’s marble from a single piece and covering cabinet fronts and columns with luxurious fabric.
The interior is complemented by the works of contemporary artist Vova Perkin.

Following the 2023 renovations, the apartment exuded a distinctive character, providing a worthy frame to the stunning views of Moscow. Surprisingly, the final buyer was a young man under 30, who chose this space as his residence.
