1. Mantris – Laptop Stand | Andrew Bowen

Mantris is a retractable laptop stand designed by Andrew Bowen that was conceived to correct bad posture while working on a laptop. Since Laptops are portable devices, which enable users to work on them without being connected to a power source, the workstations may vary from a person’s coffee tables to a person’s lap.
The compact product aims to alleviate back and neck pain that is a result of prolonged usage of laptops. What makes the Mantris stand out from other similar products in the market are the sleek design that was intended to make it fit in bags, the ability to help users work while standing or sitting, angle adjustability, and its application in almost any location.


2. Muggino – Smart Mug

Muggino is a smart mug that can be used to store beverages at a preset temperature designed by Andrew Bowen Designs. The product brings the advancements in science and technology to everyday use to store beverages like coffee or beer and steaming hot and cold temperatures respectively. It also recharges itself by making use of the energy, otherwise lost through normal hot beverage containers.
Temperature can be configured and set either through a smartphone application or physically, through gestures in the Muggino interface. It can also be charged by using a wireless MuggiPad that can be portable. This product reinvents the concept of beverage holding containers in day-to-day life.


3. Power Pull – Assistive Plug Ejector

A simple – yet innovative solution to the problems faced while pulling out a plug from the socket, designed by Andrew Bowen Designs. Although the function might seem effortless for many, it poses a difficulty for those with arthritis or dexterity problems.
This piece of equipment makes it trouble-free for all with the use of a camming arm that could either be pushed or pulled to eject the plug. Also, the camming arm, attached to the socket, could be adjusted to rotate a full 360 degrees around the plug, stopping at every 90 degrees.


4. Graco Strollers – Stroller to Bassinet

Andrew Bowen and his Design team were tasked with designing a stroller that could transform into a bassinet for Graco Strollers, the single largest baby stroller producer in the world, a subsidiary of the Newell Rubbermaid company. The product was a fluidic design that could be used by parents to take their children out, from infants to toddlers.
The design makes it possible for the common American stroller to be converted into an English bassinet or buggy with ease, giving parents and children more diversity and comfort.


5. 44 – In one road repair – Bike repair multi-tool kit | Andrew Bowen

A complete package for road bike riders that includes all essential components required during long rides. The product, Designed by Andrew Bowen, as a part of the Gear product line was intended to find an innovative solution for a lightweight saddle bag that could store all the necessary tools, including a hand pump, and also function as a storage bag for everyday use.
The compact, yet efficient design uses polypropylene which replaces the rigid plastic usually used, to allow more flexibility and also additional space to carry a water bottle. A rear fender completes the aerodynamic design that fits under the bike seat.


6. Ubio Labs – battery inverter generators

Solar-powered battery generators are built with a clean, simple, and functional design done by Andrew Bower Designs. The projects were part of a larger battery power bank product line, which was contracted from Ubio labs to replace their existing gasoline generators.
This includes two distinctly different designs, the first one intended for home and office use, with the ease of connectivity with the shelf solar panels as power backups. The second one is an extension that could be used to increase the total power stored.


7. Avidworx – Modular store display

Modular store display units that could be flat packed, configured easily, replace front display panels, allow for different display cases and a design and form that could be used in other markets. It was created for Avidworx, an aftermarket automotive electronics dealership, intended to replace existing ones that were being ineffective.
Two of the four, finalized design concepts were to be used for the automotive market, while the others for a broader network of retail stores. It was to be manufactured with the current techniques with wood as the primary material.


8. Protocol NY – Travel fisherman

An incredibly versatile fishing tool, integrating a variety of features and functions designed by Andrew Bowen Designs. It has a compact footprint, designed for the growing market of weekend backpackers and casual impromptu fishermen, that could fit in a backpack and set up with minimal movement.
It uses a short rod, suitable for fishing from kayaks or lakesides. It has an in-the-handle storage compartment, an adjustable lanyard for different carrying positions, a patent-pending flip-out reel handle, and an enclosed line assembly.


9. P9 Design – Honeywell IR Heater

An infrared, or IR heater designed by Andrew Bowen for P9 design had to be done through deep market research/ competitor analysis to find out and outline any market opportunities that lie in the field of IR heaters.
The addition of an air-purifying filter to the back intake went that could easily be cleaned, design to angle the top for easy sight to the User Interface and discouraging users from applying load on the top and the inclusion of a carrying handle to the back for better portability were some of the innovative ideas that were included in the designs.


10. Polaroid – IP Camera design | Andrew Bowen

Rebranding for Polaroid, including product redesign and packaging also involved a makeover for the already present design of IP Cameras that were being used, by Andrew Bowen Designs. This product was intended to have a better consumer-friendly appeal from the common commercial appearance of security cameras in the market.
A dome-shaped design that sits flush to the base eliminates the bulky base widely seen in common products in the market. Additionally, it was topped up with a red glowing halo on the outer body.
