Located in a small village of the Venice of the East, this architectural office was constructed on a plot accompanying the residence of the architect as well. It is built by keeping sustainability in mind considering Air Conditions are a thing of the past to reduce carbon footprint to a great extent.
Project Name: Office building for A&J Associates
Studio Name: A&J Associates
The workstations have been provided more than enough natural lighting and ventilation so that not a single light is required even in a moody climate during the work hours. Considering privacy, only the cabin has been air conditioned.
A lounge, 9 workstations and 2 cabins with a guest toilet is provided on the two floors of 660 sq ft area per floor. Solar panels are provided on the terrace floor with a slightly raised platform serving as a roof for the staff dining area.
These solar panels make the office a Net Zero Energy Building in all terms and run on Renewable energy all day long. Green is not just a term but is provided in the interiors as well to uplift the mood of the employees by planting natural air purifying plants.
Construction mainly used exposed bricks, exposed concrete roofing and natural stone (shabhad) to make the process more cost effective and it helped. Exposed wirings on the roof adds charm to the interiors with rustic finished appliances such as fans and suspended ceiling lights.
