It has professional rehabilitation facilities, equipment, and a class 100-level laminar air flow operating room, engaging American professional sports team doctors and rehabilitation specialists as technical guidance. Meanwhile, it gathers Chinese sports medicine experts from major Grade A tertiary hospitals, combining hardware strength with skilled professional doctors.
The B+H healthcare design team is responsible for the medical planning and interior design of this project, providing professional design and consulting services in design strategy, design language, functional layout, color utilization, and more. In a recent announcement, the project has been honored with a First Award of the Interiors – Healthcare/Wellness (Built) by the influential industry award Rethinking The Future Awards.

The Dynamic Design That Integrates Natural Elements
The design team hoped to showcase the process of dynamic rehabilitation in sports medicine through a unique design language. Drawing inspiration from the dynamism in nature: flapping birds, rippling ripples, and gentle breezes…it brings outdoor dynamism into the interior. In addition, through the combination and interweaving of horizontal and vertical lines, a lively space combining a simple and elegant atmosphere is designed, embodying the essence of “speed and passion.” The resulting design is sleek and refined, featuring a cohesive yet diverse design language that perfectly aligns with the spatial and brand identity of the sports medicine rehabilitation center.

The Efficient and Smooth Functional Layout
The functional layout is the core of the interior design. The designer classifies and plans the floor functions based on the Institute’s daily operation process. The first floor has reception, comprehensive outpatients, and imaging departments. At the same time, the exercise and rehabilitation hall, operating rooms, and administrative offices are arranged on the second floor, effectively distinguishing the front and back areas of the Institute’s functions and achieving functional separation between motion and stillness.
The Ingenious Color Utilization
The creative color application in design helps the Institute create a professional and efficient international medical brand image. The background color of public spaces is inspired by the brand logo, and the richly colored reception area leaves a deep impression on visitors. The entrance area, on the other hand, uses soothing colors to create a warm and friendly waiting space.

The Vivid Pattern Embellishments
The use of patterns is particularly ingenious. Unlike the waiting and reception areas, the design creates ground lines as part of the wayfinding system, with different colors corresponding to each department, such as outpatient and rehabilitation. This makes it easy for patients to travel clearly and efficiently between destinations. The wall is filled with artistic and dynamic athlete patterns, which embellish the space and effectively stimulate rehabilitation enthusiasm.
The Soft Curve Shape
Smooth curve shapes are ubiquitous in clinics. The curved ceiling of the reception area echoes the original lobby, and the canyon-like shape above the nursing table provides users with a friendly-sized space. The ground curve design considers the function of wayfinding, and the flat-turning treatment of arc chamfers also creates a gentle and friendly medical environment for patients.

The design of the Sinarmas Healthcare Shanghai Jinguke Clinic provides patients with a professional, efficient, and inviting medical environment. The design also creates a premier, all-encompassing sports medicine center for sports protection, injury treatment, and postoperative rehabilitation.
