11. Installing a Canopy
Adding a canopy to the bedroom to make it into a palace suitable for a king or queen. This white gauze cloth hangs so exquisitely and gives the monochromatic bedroom an ethereal appearance (MENDELSOHN, 2021).
12. Add More Lights
A light fixture is the one thing that can completely transform a space. An example is that brass hanging lamp. It contrasts with the more conventional features found around the bedroom and has a much more upscale and sophisticated air than a table light would. Adding a floor-to-ceiling lamp is an architectural marvel that adds a lot of extra oomph. For a similar feel, look for a floor light that also serves as art (MENDELSOHN, 2021).
13. Play of Proportion
Every design element in the space should play with shape and size differently, providing endless creative inspiration. Hang a large mirror for added impact and proportional interest. Choose a cool form or colour, keep it traditional with an antique, or make it simple and stylish as an architectural interior idea.
14. Utilize the Windows
Using the huge, bright windows that are abundant in the home as the focal point. Even if there’s only a small area, arrange the furniture in the room such that it faces the windows for an open, breezy appearance that won’t make it seem cramped. In this living area designed by Desiree Burns Interiors, indoor plants and outdoor greenery are complemented by a green couch positioned in front of floor-to-ceiling windows (SAVOIE, 2021).
15. Create a Dramatic Wall
If a plain wall in any room space makes the room seem dull, redesign it. Adding a pop of colour or hanging a collage of personal photo frames or any other structure will instantly lift the mood of the room. Depending on how much light falls on that wall, many interesting architectural interior explorations can be done (MENDELSOHN, 2021).
16. Designing Multi-purpose Areas
Try turning the dining space into an office if it doesn’t already exist by using smart storage solutions and decorating. A nook in the living room may be used as a family dinner table or a cozy office bench in this creative use of space by House Nine. The space is kept utilitarian for several uses while being brightened by pendant lighting and plush cushions (SAVOIE, 2021).
17. Bring in the Greens
It’s not necessary to have a green thumb to add lovely vegetation to the home. If the apartment doesn’t have views of such lush, verdant landscapes, the outside may still be experienced by adding plants to the interior. For a splash of colour without the work, use artificial leaves arranged in lovely vases if there is a concern of the plant dying. (SAVOIE, 2021).
18. Don’t Add the Dining Table
If there is not enough space for a dining table, utilize soft stools to make a kitchen island seating area as an architectural interior idea. For tiny kitchens with limited space, an island not only gives an extra cooking surface but also allows one to tuck the seats away when they are not in use. In order to warm up the room’s white walls, generate lots of surface area and conserve space with stools, Milk & Honey Life coordinated this island with other wood accents in the space (SAVOIE, 2021).
19. Lighting in Layers
A source of light that is overhead can be combined with lights that are at eye level, such as lamps, sconces, and distinctive table accessories. Bespoke Only employs homogeneous sphere-shaped lights at various intensities in this Upper East Side room to add visual flair. A globe lamp illuminates the room’s darkest corners, while a big mirror emphasises the high ceilings (SAVOIE, 2021).
20. Welcome the Natural Light
Simple, translucent white window treatments from House Sprucing let in more light and give the impression that the room is brighter as an architectural interior idea. Blackout drapes and those old blinds that came with the flat may go. While not completely darkening the rooms, sheer curtains or woven shades still offer solitude for windows facing south and west, which get most of the natural light (SAVOIE, 2021).
