Caia is ancient Greek for purity.’s minimalistic design approach highlights the jagged mountain detailing in the café’s overall design. The designers used a soft earthy palette of muted colours affording a welcoming appeal. The naturally bright space is grounded by an impressive stone counter that forms the heart of the café. Table tops, accent decoration and a seemingly floating planter are all in the same stone. Maldivian palms give a pop of colour throughout the café completing the natural theme. artists made silicon moulds of the Hatta mountains and created rock wall panels from glass fibre and reinforced concrete. A local artist completed the post-processing to ensure a natural aesthetic.
