Signed by architects Sebastian Ponce and Rafael Justulin of RAAS Arquitetura, this project represents a new era in veterinary clinics in Curitiba, Brazil.Invited by CliniVet to design a space exclusively dedicated to feline care, our studio felt deeply honored and responsible for creating an environment that reflects the quality and sensitivity the clinic offers its patients.

Our mission was clear: to translate CliniVet’s care and attention to detail into architecture. The result is a warm, functional space designed to provide safety and well-being for both the animals and their guardians. The project includes two veterinary consultation rooms, a sample collection room, and a reception with a waiting area.
Every element was carefully considered, from material selection to spatial layout. Natural wood tones, combined with biophilic arrangements of plants—sourced from the renowned Casa das Plantas and all non-toxic to cats—create a tranquil atmosphere and a connection to nature. Blue accents, a key element of CliniVet’s visual identity, are harmoniously integrated throughout the space, enhancing the sense of calm and comfort. An important innovation incorporated into the project is the FeliComfort electric pheromone diffuser, designed to soothe cats during their visits, making the experience gentler and less stressful. We set out to challenge the conventional approach to veterinary hospital design by prioritizing comfort and familiarity—ensuring that both clients and their pets feel truly at home.
The lighting, supplied by Duo Light, was carefully designed to create a welcoming atmosphere while meeting the technical and functional requirements of a healthcare environment. Durability and resistance—essential features in a medical setting—are guaranteed by using high-pressure Formica surfaces for the consultation and sample collection countertops. Acoustic treatment was also a key element of this project. We installed Armstrong mineral ceiling tiles with high sound absorption capacity, combined with drywall walls reinforced with OSB panels. Doors, crafted by SES Madeiras, were also designed with acoustic care, reducing the reverberation of meows in the waiting area and consultation rooms. This strategic use of available technologies ensures acoustic comfort and functionality within the hospital environment. Custom cabinetry by Móveis Purim follows contemporary trends, featuring organic curves and fluid movements that give the space a distinctive personality. For the consultation countertops, we specified Formica – Mineral Blue Top Matte, while the remaining joinery features Guararapes MDF – Savana, a warm, bronzed wood tone that reinforces our concept of using natural materials and earthy colors.
Tappo II benches by Artefacto were carefully selected to complement the design, offering both versatility and functionality. The project was brought to life with excellence by Chez Engenharia, who worked meticulously to ensure every detail remained true to our original vision. The flooring, sourced from Impermix, features porcelain tiles from Portinari’s Mount Clemo Collection, inspired by the gray stones of Lombardy, Italy. This choice not only meets the technical demands of a hospital environment but also enhances the project’s aesthetic appeal. We are proud to celebrate the opening of this new center dedicated exclusively to feline care in Curitiba—a project made possible thanks to CliniVet’s partners, PremierPet and Avert, who believed in and supported this innovative vision.
