Celebrating the essence of wellness and culture in design, Colston joins forces with Atrey & Associates at FOAID (Festival of Architecture and Interior Design), kicking off from 22nd to 23rd November 2024, to present a new realm of bathing in homes.
Project Name: Colston
Studio Name: Atrey & Associates

Guided by Anil Ahuja, Director at Colston, the exhibit will be a unique collaboration that will offer an immersive experience exploring the harmony of tradition and modernity in bathrooms. This brand new wellness showcase concept by Ar. Arun Sharma will embody a future-forward approach, which will remain deeply rooted in Indian ethics, promoting an experience that respects the past and embraces contemporary advancements.

Drawing inspiration from ancient Indian baths and spiritual ethics, Atrey & Associates is set to exemplify the art of bathrooms with the essence of wellness through a captivating booth design. The booth will be a harmonious interplay of vernacular architecture with organic-formed mud houses, sustainable materials and strategically placed greenery, emphasizing the importance of eco-consciousness with modern products. “The collaboration between Atrey & Associates and Colston is about more than just design; it is a vision of wellness that honors the earth while enriching modern lifestyle”, elucidates Ar. Arun Sharma, while elaborating on his overall thought process that went into conceptualizing the space.

Exploring deeper into the essence of Colston, visitors will be immersed in the Indian spiritual narrative with interactive features and cutting-edge technology. Colston’s state-of-the-art hydrotherapy systems in the Mink Waterfall Bathtub, multifunctional spas, and chromotherapy-enabled Helios (Wall Showers), all designed to align perfectly with the Indian concept of wellness, will transform the bathroom into a holistic experience of serene opulence. The booth will also showcase the X-Smart WC, Icon Ambient Jets, Maxx Konnect 2.0 Diverters, and Nick Basin, all of which will elevate the allure of any bathroom. With nooks like ayurvedic oil baths and the concepts of ‘Shirodhara’ (a practice which relieves the body and mind of stress), Colston’s products seamlessly blend into contemporary and traditional lifestyles. The exhibit is an invitation to reconnect with nature, celebrate India’s spirituality, and explore the possibilities of wellness in modern-day living.

“Going beyond just being an exhibit at FOAID, the booth will also be designed to showcase the presentations on the role of wellness in modern lifestyles and the integration of traditional practices in bathroom design. Through live demonstrations, visitors will gain insights into how we integrate cutting-edge technologies—such as AI-driven systems and renewable energy systems—into our future products. These insights will offer attendees a glimpse into the future of bathroom design, where wellness, sustainability, and luxury converge, driven by technological advancements”, asserts Anil Ahuja, Director of Colston.

So block your calendars for 22 & 23 November 2024, and gear up for a collaboration that redefines the luxury bathroom experience by blending technology, tradition, and sustainability.
