Milanese Architects Office, very well known as MAO architects, is an architectural company founded by Ar. Erich Milanese. His team includes sixteen members who are architects, interior designers, business developers, accountants, etc. Its headquarters are based in Soligo, Italia, and it has spread its wings in Venice and Moscow. 1. La Ghiacciaia:
Location: pederobba, Treviso, Italy
Land area: 10,000 sq. m.
Floor area: 8,000 sq. m.
La Ghiacciaia is a restaurant designed by the MAO architects, which looks outstanding because of its colors, textures, lighting, and style of design. It is a blend of eras presented through the blend of styles. The exposed walls of stone and brick look natural with a traditional feel while the glass and metal supporters give a contemporary touch to the building. The scenery around the buildings adds a relaxing and pleasing vibe and one can thoroughly enjoy the food and the ambiance at the same time!
2. Bravi 2.0:
Location: Conegliano, Trivaso, Italy.
Land area: 12,000 sq. m.
Floor area: 1200 sq. m.
Bravi 2.0 is a project situated near a central garden that connects an old building with a new one. This creates an opportunity for all the residents to access and enjoy the project. The color theme which is majorly black, red, and gray is the asset of the building that makes it bold and contemporary-industrial with a strong identity. The red elements that decorate the facade is a unique feature that makes the building stylish.
This project, by MAO architects, also meets the high standards of quality and becomes a smart building with almost zero consumption of energy which is achieved with trigeneration, and geothermal solar panels.
3. Residence IL Mandorleto:
Location: Zambrone, Italia.
Land area: 15.59 sq. m.
Floor area: 1200 sq. m.
Residence Mandorleto is a great example of a building merging effortlessly with the surroundings with respect to massing and color palette. Masses are inserted with ease, responding to the topography. And the light colors like off-white, and white are well-fit with the skies and the waters around. The use of stone masonries and the plantations done between the levels of the house add a natural look and respond to the natural landscape around. At the same time, the use of modern materials like cement and corten, etc., and the use of planes and clean lines result in a sophisticated look creating a balance between the traditional and the modern styles of design.
4. Parghelia Luxury Resort:
Location: Parghelia, Italia.
Land area: 14, 869 sq. m.
Floor area: 11,89 sq. m.
This luxurious resort is situated in the Mediterranean region. The MAO architects have aimed to design this building with full consciousness about the environment. The project, though luxurious, has been designed with simplicity in visuals. The neutral sober colors of the same family add to the simplicity and look humble whereas differences in textures like rough and smooth walls and floors etc. create interest! Moreover, one has a treat of beautiful landscape scenery around the resort which is a plus point!
5. Isocele 2.0:
Location: Dakar, Senegal.
Land area: 285 sq. m.
Floor area: 1.915 sq. m.
This commercial building is near the Olympic pool in West Dakar. MAO architects have a beautiful concept on which the design is based. The concept is to show the world the life of the city! It is achieved by the glass facade that transparently shows how life goes in the building. The vertical fins add modernity to the facade and vertical climbers maintain geometric balance and add life. This building represents the modern era of office culture with an advanced look.
6. SP House:
Location: Conegliano, Italia.
Land area: 950 sq. m.
Floor area: 900 sq. m.
The house lies on an isolated site in the hills of Conegliano. The cool grays seem in tune with cool scenic visuals of the green landscape and hills surrounding the house. The feature of the house is being zero energy building (nZEB model) as it is independent of energy consumption.
7. Smekja Palace:
Location: Perast, Montenegro.
Land area: 4,189 sq. m.
Floor area: 9,585 sq. m.
In central Perast, Smekja palace is located on the waterfront. Monochromatic, plain, and clean elevations look sophisticated and the continuous, long facade emphasizes the grandeur of the palace. In addition, The balconies and the windows converse with the waterfront! One can enjoy sitting and seizing the moment at the shore of the waterfront.
8. Valle Sacchetta E Sacchettina:
Location: Treporti, Italia.
Land area: 11,20,000 sq. m.
Floor area: 550 sq. m.
MAO architects have this unique project of a fish farm on their list! The project contains a group of buildings and it is spread over a huge area of 112 hectares. Traditional and local materials have been used in this project to meet the requirements of eco-construction and as they represent the old heritage.
9. Calanova:
Location: Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso.
Calanova is an apartment. MAO architects have provided large terraces for users to converse with the beautiful nature around it. At the same time, it satisfies the need for privacy among apartments also. Another feature of the building is that it is based on the 360-degree sustainable approach.
10. Palazzo Martini:
This project at Treviso is an example of a simple design of facades and a traditional touch to the interior. The plain elevation with windows placed at specific intervals, and the small balconies that look the same as the windows result in a simply disciplined look! The interiors look decent with a color palette of limited and neutral colors.
11. Borgo Fasol:
Location: Valdobbiadene, Treviso.
Land area: 21,300 sq. m.
Floor area: 1120 sq. m.
This project is a renovation of an agricultural project converted into a hospitality project designed by the MAO architects. It is the perfect mixture of traditional and modern styles of design. Exposed stone light brown walls and glass make a fantastic pair for some facades with a natural feel and the furniture inside the building represents modernism.
12. Seaside:
Location: Jesolo, Italia.
Land area: 984 sq. m.
Floor area: 1061 sq. m.
Seaside is a new version of the beach house that breaks its traditional concepts with the choice of materials and details. It consists of 10 apartments that have a beautiful and wide sea view. These are super luxurious and spacious apartments with extensive use of glass that also represents contemporary times.
13. Le Rive Relais:
This building at Valdobbiadene stands out in its natural context with very earthy and natural exteriors. While the interiors give you an urban feel even though colors stay the same.
All these 13 projects have their own identity because of a varied design expression while having some common thread of designing style that identifies their designers, MAO architects.
