1.  YAHVI, A HEAVENLY ABODE IN VADODARA, GUJARAT

“YAHVI” translates to the unification of heaven and earth in the Hindi language. As the name suggests, the bungalow is fabricated as a serene conjunction of courtyards and green spaces leaning inwards, away from the surrounding busy streets and low-rise apartments. The architects have used traditional bricks in the exterior but experimented with altering brick patterns to break the monotony of the material. Materials chosen for interiors help maintain a minimalistic approach, and by integrating small courts, the architects manage to depict the house as an introverted built mass.
