Modern cities need to be landscaped urgently since the situation is not the best with ecology – the architectural and landscape forum “Eco-city. Ecolandscape “, which was held for the second time in the Kiev exhibition center “KyivExpoPlaza” within the framework of the international exhibition “InterBuildExpo 2016”. How to make our cities conform to international environmental standards, using the latest technologies and natural materials and without resorting to state assistance – this topic has been devoted to the numerous performances of Ukrainian and foreign participants of the forum, including Jelle Hendrik Terre, a specialist of the International Architecture and Landscape Bureau “West 8”, which, in particular, said:
– I feel that you have very great potential, you are at the stage when all cultural traditions and historical events have already created the way that you can work on, you have a great future, and now you are ready to promote your ideas and projects. And in the information that I gave you, you, perhaps, will find the impetus for the push that is about to happen. You will laugh, but the most impressive impression on me was made by colors – now spring, there are no leaves and no flowers in nature, and there are a lot of colors in your streets. I am impressed by the palette that is present here, in Western Europe it is not – the architecture and coloristic of Eastern Europe impress me. You have cultural anchors – this is your religion, the features of the national culture, which impressed me, you must show them to the whole world.
