Aim: To design Affordable Housing for 4000 population at Pyara Bagan, Kolkata

Concept: Made inside out relation with courtyard planning and recreational exterior spaces for the people. The form is made by shifting blocks back and forth to get one balcony on inside and other one on outside. Every unit has at least 3 side faces. Concept of passive solar design through traditional arch window with louvers, AAC Blocks, filler Slab, arch windows instead of lintels, bamboo for balconies as well as for fencing are used to decrease the cost of unit.


Karamvir Singh

Karamvir Singh is currently pursuing Bachelor of Architecture at the Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.  He has bagged third prize in the Smart City project in Archotsav Competition 2015. He has an upper hand in 3d softwares for better visualisation of projects and has a great interest in Daniel Libeskind’s work.

Hitesh

Hitesh is currently pursuing Bachelor of Architecture at the Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.  He has bagged third prize in the Smart City project in Archotsav Competition 2015. During this time he has developed his technical skills and also handled the rendering softwares for better visualisation of projects.
